A Gift…

A few weeks ago, Zany came to me with two very pretty heart shaped lollipops. She had gotten them at school and had been begging to eat them so I just looked at her when she brought them to me.

“Mom, these are a gift for you.”

Hmmm. What is she up to? “Really? You love these why would you give them to me?”

“Oh, they’re not mine. They’re [Jenny’s].”

“[Jenny] gave you her lollipops?”

“Yes,” and she pointed to the bottom of the stick, “See? They’re made in China and [Jenny] doesn’t like Chinese food.”

I laughed to hard to explain…

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
