Cheryl with CMash Loves to Read has bestowed upon me the honor of new awards.
For those of you who have not visited her blog, you are definitely missing out. Every day there is something to learn, to do, or to win. I honestly have no idea how she manages to keep up!! She has several interesting and well organized posts each day and she blog hops constantly. It makes me tired just seeing where she’s been!!
So, needless to say it’s an awesome thing to receive an award from someone you admire!!

Now, in order to accept these awards I’m supposed to share something about myself. Well, offhand I can’t think of anything interesting so, like Cheryl, I’ll just tell you about five things that happened to me in the last week.
- Hubby and I took our sons to their first concert on Saturday. It was the Uprise festival and we spent the day listening to Christian rock, rap, & metal. Some of which was a bit much for me – but the boys enjoyed it and I didn’t have to wonder what articles of clothing were being thrown onstage or many other things you worry about when taking kids to a concert.
- I spent the weekend doped up on DayQuil/NyQuil. I barely made it through Saturday and then I slept all day yesterday after church.
- CJ has found that he’s only 3″ shorter than I am – so I’ve taken to wearing heals more often than not.
- Because of my headcold I can barely think and am having tons of trouble concentrating on books. Grrr.
- My boys both had soccer games this past weekend against the top ranked teams in their respective leagues – the Blazers won but the Warriors lost. But both teams really brought it!!
Yeah! Now to the part I love!! I get to pass the award on to other bloggers that I feel deserve this award. (These are in no particular order, they are just the sites I find myself visiting when I’m deciding what to read next.)

I had to laugh about wearing heels..just wait..one day stilettos won't even help lol. Enjoy those soccer games. Those times seem to pass in a matter of the snapping of fingers. I remember those days, the best years of my life, and my 2 boys are now 26 and 24.
