Destiny Mills spends her life running from the crazy life her superstar parents lived by trying to do the opposite of what they have. For some reason, moving to Fool’s Gold and having a heretofore unknown step-sibling thrust upon her seems to have given Destiny the first inkling that she’s… lonely.
Destiny is finally realizing that though she intended to live differently than they do she’s become the same… except for the succumbing to baser instincts part.
When Kipling Gilmore walks through the door and causes Destiny to lose her breath she thinks she’s getting sick. Until she realizes it’s just those baser instincts rearing their ugly heads…
What I liked: Hold Me was SO ROMANTIC! There was just something about Destiny’s vulnerability and Kipling’s Mr. fix-it attitude that just made me want to hug them. I fell completely in love with them and wanted them to just feel better about themselves and have everything work out.
What I didn’t like: It didn’t end as I anticipated. It’s an OCD thing, I jump to conclusions early on and then am shocked when the book proceeds differently than I anticipated. (This happens rarely & threw me this time!)
