Review | Marry Me at Christmas

For movie star Johnny Blaze, Madeline Krug is a first. Usually when he hires for a job they overcharge, overpromise, and underdeliver. He’s never had someone just offer to help – with no strings.

But the more time he spends with Madeline the more Johnny wishes he was just a regular person.

Madeline has been crushing on Johnny forever. Helping him to plan his sister’s wedding would be a dream come true if she could only breathe when in the same room with him. Plus, the lightning bolts that hit her every time they touch… but they’re just from his star power, right?

Hott Review:

What I liked: Looking for an adorable and fun Christmas read? Look no further than Marry Me at Christmas!
Madeline’s crush on Johnny has been the talk of the table in previous Fool’s Gold books & it’s about time she got her wish! I really loved how Madeline’s conservative nature really shows through in Marry Me at Christmas.
Obviously, we expect nothing less than great writing and an interesting story from an author like Susan Mallery, but, as usual, she goes over and above. The feeling of community and friendship just permeates your soul in this book. It’s almost as if the town pulls you in.
Plus, I just keep wanting to call Eddie & Gladys to see if they want my Chiweenies too. They seem to handle this much better than I do! 🙂
What I didn’t like: This isn’t my favorite of Susan Mallery’s books, but it’s certainly one of the most romantic & the most Christmassy.

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
