I was preparing cupcakes for CJ’s class party. It suddenly hit me to ask about food allergies.
‘CJ, is anyone allergic to peanuts?’ I asked, knowing to be specific with CJ.
He looked at me and said, ‘Mom, I don’t know. That’s a personal question. But I can tell you no one is a Jew.’
Huh? ‘CJ, don’t you think that’s a personal question?’
‘I didn’t ask, Mom, you can tell by the food they eat.’ … Oh, well, duh…
PLEASE, explain to me how he can’t tell if anyone is allergic to peanuts by the foods they eat?
LOL! And how does he know no one is Jewish by the food they eat? Maybe he's checking for kosher meals? LOL :o)
I ask how he know and he spent quite a bit of time explaining it – my eyes glossed over a bit, I'll admit. He's so detailed and accurate – it started with ham – pigs are unclean…
