I never would have suspected that Roarke would be so into Christmas! One of my favorite parts of this was watching him kind of turn into a kid.
Why on earth would someone use the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ song as the theme for a killing spree? You really just have to wonder about people. The victims are all clients of the prestigious matchmaking firm ‘Personally Yours.’ The owners of ‘Personally Yours’ are just a bit, well, let’s say, perfectly odd. The victims are all wrapped up with pretty garland, jewelry noting the day of Christmas they were killed on, and a cute little ‘my true love’ tattoo. It’s beyond strange and Eve has a lot of trouble because it just brings back too many memories.
This was actually a very good book. A bit mid-stream though. It wasn’t extremely scary like some in this series are, a bit more cursing than usual, and a bit more sex – probably due to Christmas magic. Even with that it was extremely good. The plot is good, characters well developed. I love that you can read any book in the series without a problem but that even when you read them straight through there isn’t all of that ‘catch-up’ dialog that bores me to tears.Rating: A |

Hi Gina! I've got this one next on my In Death queue. I was thinking I wasn't going to like reading a story revolving around Christmas when I'm desperate for spring around here, but you've made it sound like a lot of fun, so now I'm looking forward to it!
Thanks for playing along in the challenge. I'm so glad I decided to do it! 🙂
Happy Reading! 🙂
I'm glad too! It really is a lot of fun doing them with others. This way I get to see everyone else's thoughts and not just my own
I came back to read your review again now that I read the book, too. I totally agree with you about there being no boring catch up with the characters and their relationships with each book. You just pick up the next book and bam! the story just takes off.
