Hott Review

This book was really difficult to get into. Usually, I’m hooked with the prologue but it took several chapters of this novel for me to really star yearning the book. Did I enjoy the entire book? Yup, it just took a bit.

The Series: You know, I’ve really been thinking about some of the kicks I’ve heard to the series. The kicks where the readers get annoyed that all of the books have Roarke so nicely included in the action. Well, for me, it’s comfortable. It’s what would happen at our house. When you bring work home with you – the family tends to get involved. Of course, carrying that thought along, I’ll admit that outside of this geographic area many people don’t do that BUT since I’m from the same geographic area as the author maybe it just fits better because of cultural differences. Yup, all that just to say – it’s not odd in the least.

I have noticed that your past couple of reviews for her books have been disappointing to you. Why do you think that is? I know I feel that way with some of Patterson’s recent novels.

LOL! Only you would notice that. This is the second time I’m reading these and as with the first time there are several right there in the middle that are good but just not my favorites. I adore the oldest ones and many of the newer ones but there was a period there that the characters didn’t feel right as I was reading.
