Hott Synopsis

Psychics. Grr. Why did a psychic have to be involved in this?

| |

Eve is intrigued when she catches a case where a woman is found posed on the rocks below the caste in New York’s famous park. The victim’s obviously been beaten and raped but it’s her missing eyes that are causing the responding cops’ shock.

Eve, of course, takes all of this in stride – it’s the psychic that shows up on her doorstep the following morning claiming she’s seen the murder that completely throws Eve off her stride. Hopefully, she’ll get it back before the killer strikes again – or Eve is removed from the case.

Hott Review

Though I felt like Eve was a bit out of character a few times in this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn’t help but smile when Mavis made her appearance, laugh when Eve argued with her computer, or relax during the consult with Mira. All of my favorite characters made their appearance and left me with the contentment felt after a get-together with life-long friends.

I enjoyed the mystery even though it wasn’t terribly shocking or gruesome. I think I like this book so much because it wasn’t a case that directly involved a friend of either Eve or Roarke. It just felt like an actual case.

I thought this one was particularly revealing to the personal relationships in Eve's life that are now solid–ones that won't go away no matter how uncomfortable she is with them.

My Life Verse

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. (John 8:7 (KJV))
